Raves....

I'll be honest with you all, I get nervous before every single wedding. Yep, I admit it, I do. I've been to all types of wedding in almost every location you can imagine. I know what's going to happen and I know what shots I MUST get.

By the time the wedding day comes I've spent hours with my clients getting to know them, understanding what the most important part of the day is to each of them. I have my list of all the family in town for the big event, and I've double checked the schedule. But still I get nervous.

When the last person leaves and I've packed my gear, I take a large deep breath and finally relax. Step 1 is done... After the wedding is over the work really begins. Each wedding is different and because of that, I don't know how many images will come from a given wedding. Once the wedding is over I start looking through the images I have and begin working again.

I can't truly relax until my client has their album approved. It's not until then the process leaves my hand. I have an album binder who builds the great books for me, but I do all the design work. I lay each book out by hand and strive to ensure it tells just the right story for my client. It's a long process but the end result is always what makes it worth it for me.

Here are to recent raves from my two most recent clients.

Christina and Wade were married 4/22:

"Everyone LOVED the guest book that we had out to sign! We had a table set up with the two large portraits that we got from you, and the guest book for people to sign... I'll be sending as much business as I can your way! You really made Walter and I happy with our engagement session, and my bridals were beautiful! We will be in touch for sure! We still want to do 'family portraits' with our spoiled four legged child, Tobi...and God willing in a few years...(or more)...I am all about maternity portraits!!! Thanks again for everything Jesse!!! I just can't say that enough!!!"

It is really pleasing to hear everyone was happy!

Tina and Scott were married 4/15:

"Jesse...we cannot thank you enough for the absolutely beautiful and breathtaking pictures. You captured the most important moments in such a unique and exquisite way. We truly feel you helped us to preserve a day in our lives that we will cherish forever. We would also like to thank you for being so patient and understanding with us and our family during what could have been a very stressful time. You made us feel at ease and carefree to be ourselves and show our love for one another. You are truly the best! Thank you, thank you, thank you."

Wow, that can really help a photographers self confidence. I wanted to post this to let you know that no matter how many weddings I do, each one is like my first time.

I truly love what I do. I can't think of a better job then capturing the most imporant moments in a persons life.

The new CHIC WEDDING BOOK is here!!!

Yahoo! I'm so excited that my new books have arrived at the studio. These things are awesome. A few months ago I was able to see these different books when meeting with a fellow photographer down in south Louisiana. Anyway it was love at first sight. These books are just amazing.

Jesse Reich Photography offers some of the most unique and artistic wedding books available

Now I'm a very contemporary photographer. I consider myself a "Fashionable Lifestyle Photographer" and therefore I'm not too passionate about traditional stuff. That includes the old slip albums like my mom's wedding was in.

When I saw the first Montage Art Book I thought this is the book for me. HUGE, nice leather, block print on the cover in vertical and amazing quality. I just knew this would be the book I would standardize on. Then out came this gem... this book that defies words, this silk covered, leather bound, One-Of-A-King work of ART...

This thing was just amazing. This book pushed the boundaries of contemporary to a "whole nuthur level" (for those that watch MadTV). I had to have one for myself, for my studio and for each of my clients.

Each book is custom designed by Jesse Reich for your unique wedding

Well I called the binder and reviewed the process to carry this masterpiece of craftsmanship. After some work, I had my first book on its way.

I have not had time to take my own pics of this book so here are a few from the binder to show the options in covers (silk, metal, clear plastic, leather) as well as the size options.

Jesse Reich photography offers a wide variety of wedding book sizes from 16x20 down to 4x5

If you want to see these great books and talk about how your wedding can be in one, give me a call. I'd be happy to show of this book. IT AMAZING!

Kala's Senior Graduation Announcements for Broken Arrow, HS

Here is Kala's Senior Graduation Announcements for Broken Arrow, HS. If you look below you'll see I shot Kala's Senior pictures just the other day. The shoot was a lot of fun and we captured some great images of Kala. This design is not my own. I was visiting some blogs of other great photographers and saw this design. It not only worked great, but filled the need for Kala. The design is from Shalista Photography (http://www.shalista.com/blog/). If you have some time, check it out. They have some very nice and inspiring work.

Anyway, here is Kala's version...

Something special...

Meet Melanie and Jim. This couple have been through a lot over the past year. The story although long can be told in one word... cancer.

A year ago this coming June, Jim was diagnosed with Cancer. Treatments started almost immediately by sending him to Houston, Texas and MD Anderson. While there the treatments were long and hard with the love of friends and family all around. Watching this was both hard and joyful. Why joyful, because it taught me to live everyday to the fullest. Why joyful, because it taught me to treasure the ones I hold closest to me. Why joyful, because it helped me to strengthen my walk with God.

Well fast forward 10 months and here we are, June '06. Jim had a bone marrow transplant that resulted in him being cancer free. He was released from MD Anderson in time to spend Christmas at home with his family and friends. I can't help but tear up when I recall his homecoming. Altough I wasn't there, it is a powerful story.

See on their way home a majority of their town began planning for his arrival. People decorated his home with Yellow Ribbons, Many were signed by those who loved him most. Jim works at the court house and all of his co-workers decorated with yellow ribbons too. Finally, when they were almost home, everyone came out and lined the streets to cheer him home.

Talk about LOVE. Because of his immune system he couldn't come in contact with everyone, but to think that many people would go out of their way just to say, "Welcome home, we missed you!" Wow, that's special.

Anyway, Jim isn't just an acquaintance, he's my father-in-law. IT had been almost a year since his last visit. My wife and I traveled down to Houston several times to see everyone. You may remember reading some of my older posts about this. Anyway, while they were up, we went out to get a few images.

They are a beautiful couple that have so much love for each other. They will inspire anyone to do more and be all they can be. (Stolen for an ARMY commercial...)

As a Mary Kay rep, Melanie just loves pink... or it could be that she's a girl and all girls love pink...

my personal favorite, my son is now spoiled. Thanks...

Candy & Eric are getting married...

At least I hope so since I did their engagement pictures. This couple have great attitudes. All they did was laugh. That's great for me and tells me they will have a great life together...

This was a more traditional shoot at Woodward park. Wow there were a TON of photogrpahers out there. Both professional and not. It was funny, there was one who followed us around. I always crack up when I see this. Anyway, here are a few of their pics.

I had to make them look at me. They were lip locked... It was pretty hot out there, and I'm not talking about the temp if you get my drift... :-)

Now they know how to use color. I asked Eric about his tie because I liked it, he informed that Candy picked it out. Way to go Eric, it's awesome when you can look GREAT!

Love is in the air... Tarp Chapel Weddings....

Ok, there are those couples that look good and then you have the entire family that look like they should be in a magazine... This was one of those wedding. The Bride is stunning, the Groom as handsome as can be with children that are just beautiful.

This is every photographers dream wedding. I mean the location was great, the weather was wonderful, the couple just awesome and the guests a ton of fun.

With that, I'll just show you the images.... :-)

inferred Photography anyone... This isn't a photoshop effect. I actually have and use a Digital inferred camera at weddings. Notice all the green turns WHITE... Cool huh...

Ahh the kiss, can't have a wedding without one of those... This couple really liked to kiss... And kiss, and kiss... you get the picture

Is it just me or does this look like an ad out of Grace Ormand Wedding Style for a wedding dress designer. Look at that pose of the bride, it just doesn't get any better then that. See what I mean, the kids are just the most beautiful you'll ever find.

HOT!!! This has got to be my favorite pictures. Look at the eyes and tell me they aren't in love with him...

Congratulations to both of you. It was great to be a part of your special day. You are what make my job so rewarding. Don't forget you can view your wedding @ http://clients.jessereich.com

Jim and Crystal.... ENGAGED!!!!

I'd like to introduce Jim and Crystal. They have hired us to document their wedding day with both still and motion photography... (We're doing their wedding video too!) Anyway, we did their engagement photo's last week and I'm just now getting around to posting them. It was a busy week!!!!

Anyway, I always like to post the ones that grab my attention. I always tell my clients when we are on a shoot, they should really like it when I make a comment about an image. WHY? Well it's simple... I see 2 or 3 thousand images a week. When an image really gets my attention, there is something special about it, maybe its the framing, maybe the light, maybe just the background, but there's something.

I love to look at pictures, and of course I love creating cool images that show off my clients personality.

Well Jim and Crystal experienced several of those little grunts I make when I really like an image. Here are just a few for you to enjoy.

Boy the flowers are pretty... You know this was on a Monday. By Wednesday the Tulips were GONE!!! The wind is so bad downtown that it blew all of the petals off... :-(

Can you guess the time? Humm, about lunch time... "Where do you want to go Jim?"

So your a High School Senior....

This is Kala. She's a local HS senior who found me through a model friend. Kala, wanted "something different". When we meet she must have brought 50 wallets from her friends done by other local photogrphers. Great images, perfectly composed and exposed. She pointed out they were all done at Woodward Park and all had the same flower pots in the background.

Well Kala wanted to be different. She wanted a little more fashion, something that let her be herself.... "Hello, I'm Jesse Reich and I'm different..." We planned her shoot out, and went forth to create her very own look. I think the outcome was right on the money for what she wanted.

Just because your friends have the same look, doesn't mean you can't express yourself. Wanting something different for your Senior Portraits, give Jesse Reich photography a call!

Maternity Portraits...

Although not for everyone, there is a common request for maternity portraits. These sessions focus on the beauty of a mom's belly and the love for an unborn baby. I recently had the joy of working with two future mothers who are both excited about the little life that will be joining them soon.

If you would like to schedule your maternity session, give me a call. Sessions can be either at my studio or in the comfort of your home.

Surgery Over... ALL CLEAR!!!

William made it through without issues. I'll tell you he is one strong willed and very powerful little boy. When he woke up he was really upset and kicking and screaming at the top of his lungs. He has recovered well today and is back to his old self except for a little bit of whining that we aren't used to.

We are very happy he did good and made it without complications. He didn't even vomit after surgery. This is good. For dinner he ate an entire grilled cheese sandwich and has been drinking good.

The doctor was awesome and we are very happy with the process.

Have a great day!
