Rodeo Anyone?

Well the other night I was asked if I wanted to go and watch some friends practice for a Rodeo this Friday and Saturday. I had never photographed this type of sport before and I didn't know what it would be like. The images show the fast motion of the sport, but the low light make it hard for me to get super sharp shots. To help with the speed I grabbed my Canon 1d MkIIn camera, the worlds fastest camera, and put it to the test.

The camera did a great job at 8 fps (frames per second, yes it takes 8 shots in just 1 second, that is FAST!!!!) Anyway, I moved around the arena and had to dodge racing cows with big horns, I didn't want to know what the running of the bulls is like, but I got and idea when two came running for me.

My only thought is save the camera or save me? I can buy another camera, but I don't want so. Luckily the cows turned and I and the camera were safe. Well, here are some pics. William had a GREAT time and really enjoyed riding with Lee.
